A Message from the President
The Exchange Club of Sugar Land consists of a group of volunteer men and women working together to inspire our communities to be better places to live. This club was chartered in September 16, 1987. We meet for breakfast at 7:00am every Wednesday at the Sweetwater Country Club. Our meeting begins with a non-denominational prayer, honoring of the flags, and immediately follows with a delicious breakfast buffet. Every meeting is a little different, as we will have several 15-20 minute presentations of different topics presented by various awesome speakers.
The Exchange Club was founded in 1911. Today we continue strong serving our four core projects: Americanism, Community Service, Youth and our National Project, CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION. Throughout the year we hold several activities with the unique purpose of helping our communities through any of these core projects. Every year we have our largest fundraising activity, the Spaghetti Dinner. This event allowed us to collect over $130,000 this past year. All of these monies are allocated to different non-profit organizations that serve those in need in our own FT. Bend County. Please go over our website, look at our gallery, and spend some time reading our newsletters. I am sure you’ll see that we do a lot for our community and we do it proudly.
I want to extend to you a personal invitation to come join us for breakfast. Look at all the things we do. I am sure that you be pleased to see that there are a lot of people working in this community, helping it to become even better. Once you visit us, you may find yourself wanting to join. You will not be disappointed! This year our theme is to be thankful and keep smiling for all the things we have and the opportunity we have to serve others. I want to thank you for stopping by our website and reading this message. Remember, I would love to meet you next Wednesday!
