Additional Information
M.O.R.E. Possibilities was established to address the critical challenges faced by adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families. Once individuals with IDD age out of the school system, they often find themselves isolated and without the necessary support systems for personal development and community integration. M.O.R.E. Possibilities fills this gap by offering comprehensive programs that promote community involvement, personal growth, and lifelong learning. Our mission is to ensure that adults with IDD have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to lead fulfilling and integrated lives.
Sarah’s passion for making a difference stemmed from her own experiences and family passion, leading to the creation and growth of M.O.R.E, for which she now serves as Executive Director. Sarah's dedication to advocating for and supporting adults with IDD is unwavering, as she’s been instrumental in our organization’s adopting of a holistic approach, otherwise known as our “whole person-whole family” philosophy, to address the challenges faced by adults
Kim, our Operations Director, is deeply influenced by her experiences as a caregiver. Her journey with her son Jacob, who is diagnosed with Autism, has given her unique insights into the challenges and triumphs faced by families of adults with IDD. Balancing her roles as "Jacob’s Mom" and "Kim," she strives to help others find their own balance and support in fostering connections between our participants, volunteers, and families.
