Child Abuse Prevention

In 1979 the National Exchange Club adopted the Prevention of Child Abuse as its National Project. The Exchange Club of Sugar Land helps support a strong network of nonprofit organizations engaged in programs to bring awareness to and provide programs to help prevent child abuse. ECSL Child Abuse prevention projects include:

• Child Advocates of Fort Bend – Identification, treatment and prevention of child abuse
• Parenting Classes – Fort Bend Regional Council and Depelchin Children’s Center
• Light of Hope Ceremony
• School Blue Ribbon Competition
• Blue Ribbon Tree Displays
• Shaken Baby Syndrome
